5 · Google Consent Mode v2 — default consents

Consent Mode defaults declare what a visitor is presumed to have consented to before they touch the banner. Until #27 these were hardcoded to denied for every customer. Now they are set per configuration in the B2B zone, and this page shows what actually fired on this page load.

Read this before concluding anything. The capture script runs at the top of <head>, before GTM — because the default fires once, early. A page that observed later would show an empty table while the feature worked perfectly. If the table below is empty, that is a real result, not a timing artefact.

What the configuration says it should be

Fetched live from the same endpoint the B2B zone reads. Set the values in B2B → configuration → GCM → “Výchozí hodnoty signálů”, reload this page, and the two tables should agree.

How to test it

  1. Note the default row below — that is today's behaviour.
  2. In the B2B zone, set one signal (say analytics_storage) to granted and save.
  3. Reload this page. The default should now carry your value.
  4. Accept or reject on the banner — an update row should appear.
  5. Try to set security_storage. It must refuse: it is deliberately not settable.
If the default row never appears: the SDK build serving this page may predate #27, or GCM may be disabled on this configuration. Both are visible in the raw log below rather than left to guesswork.
